Aurélia on Zoom — how it works

Aurelia.jobs is a recruitment platform. During interviews held on Zoom, the recruiter can invite Aurélia, an assistant that joins the meeting as a visible participant named “Aurelia.jobs”, transcribes what is said and turns it into an interview report inside Aurelia.jobs. This page lets anyone with a Zoom account try exactly that flow.

Step by step

  1. Click Connect with Zoom and authorize the “Aurelia.jobs” app. Scopes: read your profile (user:read:user) and obtain an on-behalf token for a meeting you attend (user:read:token).
  2. Start a Zoom meeting from your Zoom client and copy its invitation link.
  3. On My session, paste the link and click Send Aurélia to this meeting.
  4. Within about a minute the participant “Aurelia.jobs” asks to join (admit it if you use a waiting room). It joins on your behalf: Zoom's requirement for meeting bots is that the authorizing user is present in the meeting.
  5. Aurélia shows its picture, posts a privacy notice in the chat in French, English and Spanish, and Zoom displays its native recording/transcription indicator. Anyone can object; the host can remove the participant.
  6. The transcript appears live on the meeting page. When the meeting ends (or when you click Ask Aurélia to leave), the bot leaves.
  7. Disconnect Zoom revokes the authorization and deletes your data here. Removing the app from your Zoom account (App Marketplace → Manage → Added apps) has the same effect: we receive Zoom's deauthorization notification and delete everything.
